They Don’t Really Tell You This When Starting a Blog

There are a lot of really good and not-so-good programs out there to help a person start a blog

Many of those programs give you the nuts-and-bolts details of how to go about it; for example, what hosting company to use, what platform you should choose and other technical factors.

That’s all well and good but they never really give you a timeline on when you can expect a return-on-investment or ROI as it’s known in the business world.

The reason for that is also multi-factored. Take for example your content. Is it SEO optimized with the keywords for your niche?

Search-Engine-Optimization or SEO is one of the biggest factors in how your website ranks in Google. That magical, mystical Google algorithm is what comes between you and your website ranking. Many people have tried to crack it giving hacks and tips and tricks which sometimes work and sometimes don’t. It takes practice. And it takes time.

How Much Time Does it Take to Rank Well in Google?

There is no specific formula you can apply right away to get the number one spot on a search engine ranking.

But you can expect to move up in the ranking by checking your domain authority or DA. The higher your DA number combined with SEO optimized content and the longevity of your website all can help to move you up the ladder.

I’ve seen businesses rank #1 within 6 months of a launch.

And I’ve seen others fall-by-the-wayside through the years.

So what can you expect if you were to start a blog today?

Again it depends on all the factors of what you do to make it work. You can do it yourself and learn along through trial-and-error, or you can pay someone else to do it for you.
